We engage in the manufacture, importation, and sales of intermediates, which are several steps before being final pharmaceuticals, with foreign manufacturers who undertake meticulous GMP management.

Sogo Trading Co., Ltd. was established in 1969 through investment by Sogo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. as a trading firm specializing in pharmaceutical ingredients（Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients,API） and chemicals.
About half a century since then, we have built up extensive networks in countries around the world, including China, Europe, and India as well as here in Japan, and have created structures which allow us to accurately meet our customers’ needs. Later on, we expanded our operations by adding products like electronic materials, raw materials for cosmetics, food additives, animal feed additives, industrial medications, raw materials for agricultural chemicals, and pigment intermediates to our lineup. We currently receive sound praise as a trading firm that particularly excels at doing business with China.
We have viewed it as a priority issue to do business with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, which have attracted attention for their remarkable economic growth, particularly in recent years. As such, we have been putting efforts into doing market research and gathering information on these countries, primarily Thailand and Laos.
We consider it our role as a trading company to inquire into our customers’ problems and challenges and then resolve them. Our expert staff provides assistance in a number of areas through close cooperation. This includes stably supplying products and ensuring quality that is satisfactory for our customers, complying with laws and regulations such as the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act and the Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. (applications for new chemical substances with low production volumes and intermediate chemical substances), and assisting with research and development that includes technical support.
